Designer II – Architecture Studio

About the role

We are a 100‑person studio within a global architecture firm, offering mentorship, technical resources, and diverse project exposure. As a Designer II you will contribute creative energy to project teams, developing drawings from schematic design through construction documents while growing your design problem‑solving skills.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and develop drawings across schematic design, design development, and construction documents under supervision.
• Take increasing ownership of tasks, self‑checking work for accuracy, completeness, legibility, and compliance with the Project Delivery Manual.
• Prepare and actively participate in design reviews, charrettes, and pin‑ups with informed opinions.
• Coordinate effectively with partners, consultants, and internal teams, reducing reliance on intermediaries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related discipline.
• Preparing for the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) with active AXP involvement.
• Proficiency in BIM tools, intermediate Revit, and Rhino/Grasshopper.
• Familiarity with building codes, life‑safety requirements, and construction documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite; Enscape or V‑Ray a plus; 3D printing/laser cutting a plus.
• LEED Green Associate certification within six months of hire and one Living Design accreditation (e.g., LEED AP Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI).
