Design Engineer

About the role

CodeRabbit is building the control layer for software changes powered by AI. As a Design Engineer you will create the polished, trustworthy experiences that make AI‑generated suggestions feel like a natural teammate across IDEs, Git platforms, the CLI and the web.

Key responsibilities

• Build production‑quality UI components and interactions that turn complex code analysis into effortless experiences.
• Rapidly prototype emerging AI workflows (real‑time review, conversational feedback, agentic actions) to validate ideas within hours.
• Translate high‑fidelity designs into pixel‑perfect, reusable code and push design forward through technical innovation.
• Define and maintain a design system in code, covering web, IDE extensions, Git platforms and CLI surfaces.
• Implement clear, performant visualizations for code quality metrics, dependency graphs and AI insights.

Required profile

• Equally fluent in Figma and code editors, able to move seamlessly between design and implementation.
• Strong front‑end engineering skills with a deep instinct for reusable, maintainable UI systems.
• Obsessed with craft – you notice the last 10% that makes a product feel alive.
• Ship fast, learn openly, and keep high quality while iterating quickly.
• AI‑native mindset, using AI tools as creative partners in your workflow.
