Department Manager – Retail

About the role

Zara is seeking a Department Manager to lead a sales section in one of its stores. You will be responsible for delivering the commercial strategy while maintaining an attractive, client‑focused image. The role combines leadership, product knowledge, and analytical abilities to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Control stock and manage the section to achieve sales objectives.
• Review new arrivals, allocate locations, and coordinate store/warehouse rotations.
• Communicate with other managers to ensure a unified brand image.
• Supervise product replenishment and merchandising, including fixtures, mannequins, and shop windows.
• Provide continuous feedback to the general manager and the team.
• Conduct product and commercial analysis to inform actions that improve sales.
• Ensure customer service standards are met and resolve incidents.
• Minimize shrinkage and execute store‑specific action plans.
• Organise and train the sales team, identify new talent, and give constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and occupational risk regulations.
