About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead the Product analytics engineering team. You will shape the data foundation that powers data‑driven decisions across multiple product pillars, ensuring reliable, scalable metrics for a fast‑growing AI company.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale a high‑performing analytics engineering team, including hiring and mentorship.
• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for product data foundations and analytics capabilities.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines, data models, and data marts from raw product event logs.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, and Engineering leaders to translate data needs into technical solutions.
• Establish data integrity standards, SLAs, alerting, and best practices.
• Develop self‑serve analytics tools, dashboards, and foundational data products.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Required profile

• 8+ years managing analytics or data engineering teams, preferably in a scaling startup.
• 10+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related data‑focused roles.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver large‑scale data solutions.
