CyberSecurity SOC Intern

About the role

This paid Summer Internship (late May to early August) offers hands‑on experience with Oceaneering's CyberSecurity SOC Engineering group. You will observe daily SOC operations, learn the processes, assess workflows and propose improvements while working under a dedicated mentor.

Key responsibilities

• Observe day‑to‑day SOC operations and learn the processes.
• Assess SOC workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Study the lifecycle of security events, alerts, incidents and investigations.
• Review how telemetry from endpoints, identity systems, email, firewalls, cloud platforms and applications supports threat detection.
• Document findings through diagrams, summaries and presentations, and deliver a final presentation on recommendations.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and proficiency in at least one operating system.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
