Customer Service (Biometric Enrollment) Specialist

About the role

Amentum is hiring a full-time Customer Service (Biometric Enrollment) Specialist for its USCIS Application Support Center office. You will welcome applicants pursuing legal immigration to the United States, guide them through their biometrics appointment (identity verification and biometric capture) and provide front-line customer service representing Amentum and the U.S. Government. Training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants and capture electronic fingerprints, photographs and signatures within program-wide processing times.
• Ensure only approved applicants and visitors enter the center, screen entrants for a valid appointment notice and ID, and use crowd-control barriers to keep entry safe and organized.
• Protect personal identifiable information, including applicant paperwork, IDs and electronic biometric data.
• Perform periodic interior and exterior facility checks and report concerns to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist the Site Supervisor and immigration officers in contacting law enforcement or first responders when necessary.
• Handle administrative paperwork such as tracking processing times, reconciling captured biometrics, maintaining a visitor control log and signing off on facility checks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizenship, required to obtain and maintain facility credentials.
• Ability to speak and write in English; a foreign language is desired.
• Ability to stand for the shift duration, handle applicants' hands to take fingerprints, and work in a fast-paced public-facing environment.
• Successful completion of biometrics training and certification within 60 days.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including typing.
• Front-line customer service with a cheerful, respectful demeanor toward applicants.
