Counsel, Global Regulatory Affairs

About the role

Visa is seeking a lawyer to join its Global Regulatory Affairs team. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Regulatory Affairs, the Counsel will be based in Atlanta, Austin, or San Francisco and will coordinate complex regulatory matters across Visa’s worldwide operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage regulatory matters across more than 200 countries and territories.
• Work closely with global and regional legal, business, and government affairs teams to develop and execute regulatory strategies.
• Draft regulatory submissions, responses to government requests, and public consultation documents.
• Support direct engagements with governments, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
• Develop thought leadership and strategic positioning on key regulatory issues.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and resourcefulness.
• Self‑motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable using emerging technologies and AI tools.
• Collaborative team player able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
