Corporate & Investment Banking Trade Finance & Working Capital Sales Associate/VP

About the role

Santander is seeking an experienced professional to lead the origination and support of Corporate & Investment Banking Trade Finance and Working Capital transactions. The role acts as a subject‑matter expert for a portfolio of global corporate clients, driving revenue and expanding the bank's product footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Trade Finance and Working Capital products, including Receivables, Supply Chain Finance, Letters of Credit, and Inventory Finance.
• Own and grow a portfolio of 50+ large global corporates with subsidiaries in the US.
• Originate new transactions through client meetings, relationship building, and proactive sales strategies.
• Develop internal relationships with product, legal, risk, compliance, operations, and liquidity teams to structure and book deals.
• Maintain reporting on exposure, revenue, and monitoring requirements for GTB transactions.
• Collaborate with Corporate Banking to provide GTB product support for originated deals.
• Manage transactions from origination through execution and ongoing lifecycle, coordinating with GAOs on marketing plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5‑10 years of experience with Trade Finance and Working Capital products.
• Strong knowledge of commercial, accounting, and legal aspects of the products.
• Proven ability to engage multiple clients, present solutions, and develop sales strategies.
• Advanced financial analysis, risk evaluation, and loan documentation skills.
