Computer Tomography Technologist

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Computer Tomography Technologist to join its clinical support team in Little Rock. This is a regular, day‑shift position that provides essential imaging services within a collaborative health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the CT scanner to acquire high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during examinations.
• Follow radiation safety and infection‑control protocols.
• Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and quality assurance tasks.
• Document procedures accurately and communicate findings to the radiology team.

Required profile

• Current University of Arkansas System employee (including student employees and graduate assistants) eligible to apply via Workday.
• Legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Availability to work day‑shift hours.
• No sponsorship available.

Required skills

• Operation of computer tomography equipment.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and clinical imaging protocols.
• Ability to follow detailed procedural guidelines.
