About the role
The Education Justice Project seeks a part‑time Computer Lab Coordinator to manage the dedicated computer lab at Danville Correctional Center, supporting a range of college‑in‑prison programs and workshops.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain hardware (servers, workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, projectors) and address technical issues.
- Maintain the software library, ensure proper functioning of installed applications and provide documentation for students.
- Develop and enforce lab use policies consistent with DCC and IDOC regulations.
- Provide training and support to instructors and incarcerated students on lab policies, software, and general computer use.
- Oversee user account creation, maintenance, and archiving of inactive accounts.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven managerial or administrative experience.
- Commitment to social‑justice values.
Required skills
- Familiarity with computer lab hardware and software environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain multiple software interfaces.
