Compliance Engineer – Product Safety & Compliance

About the role

You will be part of product safety and compliance efforts that help bring innovative Sleep & Respiratory Care technologies to patients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform tests to meet global product safety standards such as IEC 60601‑1 and related standards.
• Develop and execute test plans, operate test equipment (power meters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, dielectric testers, etc.) and compile results.
• Review emerging regulations, propose compliance plans, and submit reports to regulatory agencies.
• Act as liaison with external testing and certification suppliers and support site inspections.
• Assist product development and manufacturing teams to maintain testing data and demonstrate continued compliance.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience in product safety, compliance, and certification for medical devices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, or related engineering discipline.
• Ability to work independently, manage projects, and communicate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Physical and cognitive ability to meet job requirements with or without accommodation.

Required skills

• Interpretation of IEC 60601 and ISO 80601 standards.
• Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and wireless compliance knowledge.
• Operation of test equipment: power meter, power analyzer, data logger, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, dielectric strength tester, ground continuity tester, digital multimeter, surge generator, over‑voltage tester, environmental chamber.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint).

• Salary range $74,000 – $117,000 per year.
