Clinical Service Manager – Surgical Specialties Service Line

About the role

The Clinical Service Manager for the Surgical Specialties Service Line will lead and coordinate clinical operations within the surgical departments at UAMS. This position ensures high‑quality patient care, efficient workflow, and compliance with institutional policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical activities for surgical specialties, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Monitor performance metrics, develop reports, and implement quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and accreditation requirements.
• Manage budgets, track expenses, and support financial stewardship of the service line.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health administration, nursing, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant experience in clinical management or service line leadership within a hospital or health‑care setting.
• Strong understanding of surgical workflows, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
