About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks a Clinical Service Manager to lead the Surgical Specialties Service Line. This position oversees day‑to‑day clinical operations, ensuring high‑quality patient care and efficient service delivery within a collaborative, academic health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate clinical services for the surgical specialties service line, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor performance metrics, quality indicators, and patient satisfaction scores, implementing improvement initiatives as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and administrative teams to align service line goals with institutional priorities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and UAMS policies.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost‑control measures for the service line.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health administration, nursing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Relevant experience in clinical operations management, preferably within a surgical or hospital setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive process improvements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clinicians, staff, and senior leadership.
