Clinical Adjunct Nursing Faculty (ABSN)

About the role

The Accelerated (ABSN) Clinical Adjunct faculty in the Oxley College of Health Sciences expand clinical offerings by providing additional teaching resources and subject‑area expertise. Adjunct faculty are hired to teach a specific clinical practicum rotation for an academic semester.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a written clinical schedule to students with expected start and end times.
• Deliver onsite clinical instruction for the assigned practicum rotation according to the schedule.
• Create a learning environment that encourages student participation and supports the TU SON & Baccalaureate Mission.
• Give regular, appropriate clinical feedback and maintain communication with students throughout each clinical day.
• Supervise students to ensure they complete the required practicum hours and attend departmental meetings as requested.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in nursing.
• Subject‑matter expertise in the clinical area relevant to the practicum.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state where the practicum is conducted.
• Professional experience in the content‑related nursing area.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and possession of a BLS certification.
