Clinical Account Consultant / Pharmacist

About the role

Healthcare Support is seeking a strategic Clinical Account Consultant with a PharmD to serve as a trusted clinical advisor for pharmacy benefit clients. You will partner with clients to design and implement innovative formulary and clinical strategies that improve health outcomes, manage cost trends, and deliver measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary clinical consultant for assigned clients, creating and executing formulary, benefit, and clinical plans.
• Lead clinical aspects of client implementations, including requirements gathering, configuration, quality reviews, testing validation, and claims analysis.
• Analyze pharmacy claims and clinical data to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
• Communicate complex clinical programs, formulary decisions, and drug information clearly to client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales, Clinical Operations, Product, and Account Management on presentations, RFPs/RFIs, implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive operational excellence by leading clinical initiatives, enhancing internal processes, and supporting regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a health plan or pharmacy benefits management environment.
• Direct account management experience supporting multiple lines of business.
• Ability to travel and present to both small and large audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including large‑dataset manipulation and analysis.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Competitive base salary ranging from $139,600 to $174,500 USD plus up to 10% annual bonus.
