Client Technologies Analyst II – Audio/Video

About the role

The Client Technologies Analyst II – Audio/Video provides technical support for complex IT and networked audio‑video equipment at Texas A&M University‑San Antonio. Working under general supervision, you will ensure reliable operation, maintenance, monitoring and repair of AV systems used for education, conferencing and events.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, configure, secure and monitor all AV and computing devices throughout their lifecycle.
• Use Group Policy and other tools to enforce system security and protect client data.
• Oversee delivery, setup and troubleshooting of AV content for classrooms, conferences and university events.
• Coordinate schedulers and technicians, manage work orders, and keep detailed equipment logs.
• Respond to support tickets via phone, email, remote or on‑site assistance.
• Research, test and document new AV technologies and software.
• Maintain inventory of AV equipment and assist with acquisition of new products.
• Train and supervise student workers and collaborate with Field Services teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least three years of experience with computing, audio/video communications, presentation technologies and system troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Group Policy management.
• Configuration and baseline management of AV and IT devices.
• Networked AV equipment and control‑system troubleshooting.
• Ticketing system operation and documentation.
• Inventory management for AV hardware.
