Chief AI & Data Architect

About the role

The Chief AI & Data Architect will define and drive the enterprise‑wide strategy for artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and data across a regulated organization. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures data is trusted, governed and AI‑ready while AI solutions are deployed safely, compliantly and at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own an integrated AI and data strategy, roadmap and operating model aligned with business goals and regulatory commitments.
• Sponsor enterprise data governance, establishing ownership, quality, lineage and lifecycle management policies.
• Lead AI platform architecture, including model lifecycle management, data pipelines, MLOps and GenAI enablement.
• Implement AI and data governance frameworks, intake processes, approval gates and responsible AI principles.
• Collaborate with legal, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance and risk teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Oversee the AI and data portfolio, moving initiatives from pilot to production with clear value measurement.

Required profile

• 15+ years of leadership experience in data, analytics, AI or enterprise technology.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale AI and data programs in complex, regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of data governance, cloud platforms, AI/ML lifecycle management and risk controls.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence business, operations and IT stakeholders.
