Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) - Hudson County

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is looking for Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide one-on-one home health visits for clients throughout Hudson County, NJ. This is a visiting aide position, open full-time, part-time or per diem, with weekday daytime availability and travel between client homes. Reliable transportation is required.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting
• Provide medication assistance, oral feeding and hydration support
• Help with safe transfers and ambulation, including the use of mechanical lifting devices
• Perform range of motion exercises and monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse and respiration)
• Do light housekeeping and home management tasks such as laundry, meal preparation and bed making
• Promote client safety, comfort, dignity and independence

Required profile

• Active New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification
• At least one year of home health aide experience
• Completed a recognized home health aide training program
• Completed the BAYADA Competency Evaluation and met all New Jersey state requirements
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client homes in Hudson County
• Weekday daytime availability
