Center Medical Specialist – Bilingual English/Spanish (LPN/LVN/RN)

About the role

Grifols is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Center Medical Specialist to work in one of its plasma donation centers. The role involves conducting donor medical examinations, providing education, and ensuring donor safety and satisfaction. Candidates must be licensed as an RN, LPN/LVN, Paramedic, or EMT and hold current CPR certification.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and review medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
• Educate donors about potential hazards and general health.
• Provide counseling regarding unacceptable test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.
• Assess donor medication and illness histories for continued suitability.
• Assist in employee training initiatives.
• Administer the employee Hepatitis vaccine program.

Required profile

• Current licensure in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work both standing and sitting for 2‑4 hours per day.
• Physical ability to bend, twist, lift light loads (15‑50 lb), and perform frequent hand and foot movements.
• Hearing acuity and color vision within required standards.
