Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist

About the role

This position is part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for operating the heart catheterization laboratory suite. The technologist operates diagnostic fluoroscopy and cardiac equipment, monitors patient vitals, and assists the physician during procedures. The role also prepares rooms, equipment, and patients, and serves as a liaison to the Radiation Safety Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Operate radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images of coronary and peripheral vascular disease.
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and report values to the performing physician.
• Monitor and control radiation dose to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images using PACS.
• Perform quality control and routine maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.

Required profile

• Associate degree in radiologic sciences (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and ARRT registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• No prior experience required; 2 years of allied health experience preferred.
