Category Manager

About the role

We are looking for a strategic and commercially‑focused Category Manager to develop and manage product categories for a recognized retail company. The role involves shaping category strategy, negotiating with key suppliers, and driving sales, profitability and working‑capital results.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement category strategies across all sales channels.
• Lead the category team to achieve quantitative and qualitative targets.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Manage the P&L for assigned categories.
• Monitor competitive landscape and market trends.
• Identify commercial opportunities and customer needs.
• Analyze product trends, assortment and category development.
• Contribute actively to the company’s strategic planning together with other managers.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Commercial Engineering or a related field.
• Specialization in category management or a similar discipline (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in retail or commercial environments.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
