About the role

The Campus Police Officer provides safety and security for the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope‑Texarkana campus. This full‑time, onsite position enforces traffic, criminal, and parking regulations while upholding institutional policies and state and federal law.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol campus grounds and facilities to deter and respond to incidents.
• Enforce traffic laws, criminal statutes, and parking regulations.
• Apply university policies and agency procedures in all law‑enforcement activities.
• Respond to emergencies, conduct investigations, and prepare incident reports.
• Collaborate with campus administration and local law‑enforcement agencies as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to enforce traffic, criminal, and parking regulations in accordance with state and federal law.
• Understanding of university policies and public‑safety standards.
• Strong judgment and ability to act calmly in emergency situations.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to carry a firearm as required by the position.
