Busser

About the role

The Busser supports the dining experience by delivering food and beverages to guests, clearing tables, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. This role is essential to delivering the Discovery Land Company experience for members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage items to the appropriate guest seats promptly.
• Clear plates, glassware, and silverware, and monitor water glass levels, refilling as needed.
• Replace silverware throughout service and ensure surrounding areas are tidy.
• Provide brief explanations of dishes and address guest needs.
• Assist kitchen staff to ensure proper plating and accurate delivery of condiments and sauces.
• Prepare and restock the runner station for each meal period, keeping it clean and organized.
• Maintain familiarity with menu items, restaurant policies, safety, and security procedures.
• Adhere to food safety, cleanliness, and safety standards and attend all briefings and trainings.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three months experience in a fine‑dining or high‑volume high‑end restaurant, resort, or private club.
• Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards; ability to obtain a State Food Safety Certificate.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and service.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and stay calm during busy periods.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and work for more than eight hours and lift items up to 50 lb.
