About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Business Unit Operations leader to drive execution of programs that meet financial and operational goals for the MDP product group. The role will coordinate product portfolio prioritization, budget alignment and balance‑sheet performance across divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver cross‑functional execution of programs to exceed division and financial targets for the MDP product group.
• Coordinate product‑portfolio prioritization and align budgets with division goals.
• Drive planning and operational execution to optimize cash, inventory and balance‑sheet performance.
• Manage OPEX spending to align with project plans and division targets.
• Create and continuously improve business processes, reducing COGS and achieving gross‑margin targets.
• Interface with supply‑chain, AGS and other enterprise functions to drive continuous improvement.

• Recognized technical expert in their discipline with broad knowledge of related functions.
• Anticipates business and regulatory issues and recommends product, process or service improvements.
• Leads high‑risk, complex projects and defines execution strategies.
• Solves unique, complex problems with innovative thinking.
• Influences resource allocation and program direction at senior levels.
• Communicates complex ideas persuasively to senior stakeholders.
