Board Certified Rheumatologist – Clinical Practice

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join its expanding Rheumatology Department in the North Shore region of Louisiana. The position offers a collaborative, integrated practice model with strong internal referral networks and access to comprehensive support services. You will work primarily at the Slidell Memorial Hospital clinic and infusion suites, providing high‑quality care to a diverse patient panel.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and spondylarthropathies (including ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, and enteropathic arthritis).
• Treat inflammatory myositis, systemic sclerosis, gout, calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease, Behçet’s disease, systemic sarcoidosis, and rheumatic complications in transplant medicine.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology.
• Willingness to practice in an integrated, multi‑specialty environment on the North Shore of New Orleans with no hospital call requirement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Experience using telehealth platforms for virtual direct‑to‑consumer visits.
