Board Certified Ophthalmologist – Covington, LA

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist to join its Covington clinic. The position offers a high‑volume cataract surgery practice within an integrated health system that values education, innovation and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cataract and anterior segment surgeries, utilizing Centurion phacoemulsification and Catalys platforms.
• Collaborate with a broad internal referral network and provide shared call coverage.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
• Experience in general ophthalmology; anterior segment experience preferred but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Centurion phacoemulsification machines.
• Use of Catalys femtosecond laser system.
• Operation of Zeiss Lumera operating microscope and Zeiss HVF visual field analyzer.
• Familiarity with Heidelberg OCT, Optos retinal imaging, LenStar biometer.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record platform.
