Bilingual Medical Scheduler & Administrative Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an organized, dependable Bilingual Medical Virtual Assistant to join our digestive health team. The role focuses on end‑to‑end procedure scheduling, patient coordination, and administrative support across hospitals, surgery centers, and imaging facilities. This is a full‑time contractor position working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the procedure schedule to maximize provider availability and facility capacity.
• Coordinate pre‑procedure requirements, medical clearances, and patient instructions (fasting, medication, transportation).
• Manage patient check‑out workflows, gather external medical records, and process referrals, lab and imaging orders.
• Complete prior authorizations with insurers and communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and external offices.
• Monitor calendars, fill open slots, and ensure daily procedure targets are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant or Administrative Assistant in a U.S. specialty practice.
• Proven success coordinating complex medical procedures from booking to completion.
• Highly detail‑oriented and able to manage multi‑step workflows independently in a remote setting.
• Full bilingual fluency in English and Spanish with professional verbal and written communication.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor role (40 hours/week)
• Starting pay rate of $6 per hour, based on skillset and experience
• Remote work with a schedule of Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑5 pm PST
