Backend Software Engineer

About the role

Resolve AI is building an autonomous AI Production Engineer to tackle complex system issues end‑to‑end. As a Backend Software Engineer you will create simulation environments, design high‑concurrency services, and embed reliability into the stack.

Key responsibilities

• Build simulation environments where AI agents can be trained on realistic SRE tasks such as debugging, incident response, and on‑call work.
• Design, implement, and scale backend services and APIs that generate, run, and score scenarios in high‑concurrency environments.
• Own architecture of large subsystems from early design through long‑term evolution, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Iterate quickly: ship rough versions, observe failures, and refine the system.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineer with experience building and deploying scalable, high‑performance services.
• Bias for action and comfort digging into technical problems, data, and debugging.
• Willingness to use AI tools to accelerate development and explore LLM‑powered systems.
• Bonus: prior SRE, on‑call, incident response, or observability tooling experience.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Kubernetes.
• Databases and messaging systems for cloud‑native applications.
• AI tools and LLM integration.
• Observability tooling (bonus).
