AWS Python Developer

About the role

CGI is looking for an experienced AWS Python Developer to modernize and extend cloud‑based applications and data solutions for a large financial services client. The role will be based on‑site at one of several U.S. locations and follows a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on development across AWS services, delivering scalable and reliable solutions.
• Design, build, and enhance cloud‑native applications and data pipelines.
• Participate throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile practices.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise objectives.
• Support teams in leveraging existing enterprise technology assets effectively.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Python software development.
• Hands‑on experience building solutions in AWS environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python (and optionally Java) with solid SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and test‑automation best practices.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate coding and testing.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and adhere to enterprise standards.
