AWS Infrastructure Engineer – Deltek VantagePoint

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize, and support the cloud environment that powers our Deltek VantagePoint ERP platform. The role focuses on Microsoft SQL Server deployments in AWS and ensures high‑availability, security, and performance for business‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and manage production Microsoft SQL Server on AWS RDS and EC2.
• Maintain and optimize the AWS infrastructure for Deltek VantagePoint, Deltek Vision, and related SSRS reporting.
• Support ERP middleware integrations, third‑party HRIS systems, and automated SQL workflows.
• Design and implement high‑availability, backup, point‑in‑time recovery, and multi‑region disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, right‑size resources, and control cloud costs.
• Enforce security standards across IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and monitoring.
• Document architecture, integrations, security controls, and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• 5+ years managing AWS services (EC2, RDS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, SNS).
• 2+ years directly supporting Deltek VantagePoint or Deltek Vision in an AWS environment.
• Experience with AEC organizations using Deltek is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server administration, including Always On Availability Groups, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
