AV Operations Specialist

About the role

Anthropic is looking for an AV Operations Specialist to own the performance and reliability of its audio‑visual spaces in the San Francisco office. You will ensure rooms are ready for daily use, resolve support requests quickly, and provide technical coverage for live and hybrid events that support the company’s AI safety mission.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the AV owner for the office, accountable for health, readiness, and performance of every room and event space.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs and regular room sweeps on a defined cadence.
• Maintain accurate inventory of AV equipment, peripherals, wireless microphones, cameras, and production gear.
• Coordinate AV scope for office moves, room reconfigurations, and new‑space readiness.
• Own the AV support queue: triage, prioritize, resolve, and escalate issues with clear diagnostics.
• Participate in regional on‑run rotation, covering AV issues during business hours.
• Systematically isolate faults in the signal chain and drive recurring issues to root cause.
• Provide technical coverage for live and hybrid events, operating audio consoles, video switchers, camera systems, playback, and streaming encoders.

Required profile

• Proactive problem‑solver who catches issues before users report them.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document room configurations and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to work with Workplace, AV Engineering, and event organizers.
