Automotive Service Advisor/Consultant

About the role

Our busy Service Department at Ford of Harvey is looking for a professional Automotive Service Advisor/Consultant to guide customers through vehicle maintenance and repair. You will act as the primary liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring a smooth and satisfying service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform walk‑around inspections of customer vehicles and accurately document service needs on repair orders.
• Communicate recommended services based on service history, multi‑point inspections, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Serve as the point of contact between technicians and customers, answering questions and providing status updates.
• Write and verify repair orders, including supporting documentation for warranty claims.
• Inspect completed work to confirm quality before vehicle delivery.
• Promote sales of labor, parts, accessories, and warranty services to meet department goals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Ford products and complete required manufacturer training.

Required profile

• Ability to handle customer concerns calmly and redirect frustrations.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in an automotive service advisor or similar customer‑facing role.
