Associate Product Development Specialist

About the role

Nestlé USA is seeking an Associate Product Development Specialist to support R&D projects that create new food and beverage products. The role involves translating consumer insights into innovative formulations while adhering to Nestlé’s quality and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new products using innovative ingredients and processes, managing bench‑scale and pilot‑plant trials.
• Participate in project activities to deliver industrialized products on schedule and at defined quality.
• Calculate carbon impact of projects for sustainability reporting.
• Document project work according to Nestlé guidelines and present results to R&D, SBU and market teams.
• Engage in relevant training, especially trial‑management processes, and stay current on liquid‑beverage science.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of related experience, including internships.
• Knowledge of raw materials, key technologies, and dairy technologies (a plus).
• Experience with bench‑top prototypes and exposure to pilot‑plant environments.
• Understanding of R&D project management and consumer‑insight methodologies.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage small projects.
