Assistant/Associate Professor of Spanish – Fall 2026

About the role

Palm Beach Atlantic University seeks a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor of Spanish to begin in the Fall of 2026. This in‑person position emphasizes innovative undergraduate teaching, scholarly research, and the integration of Christian faith into the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a range of undergraduate Spanish courses, including courses for heritage speakers and professional Spanish.
• Develop and revise curriculum to meet departmental and community needs.
• Maintain an active research and publication agenda in Spanish or Hispanic studies.
• Contribute to departmental, university, and community service, reflecting the institution’s Christian mission.

Required profile

• ABD or Master’s degree in Spanish, Hispanic Studies, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• Fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Prior collegiate‑level teaching experience with demonstrated expertise in the discipline.
• Experience in curriculum development and community engagement.
• Strong record of research and scholarly publication.
• Commitment to Christian faith and ability to integrate it into coursework.
