Assistant Professor – Law (Sustainability)

About the role

The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Law with a focus on environmental law and sustainability. The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate business students and contributing to the department’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced business law courses, including Law, Business and Sustainability and Environmental Law.
• Develop new courses and curricula aligned with sustainability and ESG topics.
• Conduct high‑quality scholarly research and publish in top law reviews.
• Participate in departmental, school, and college service activities.
• Deliver instruction across multiple modalities (in‑person, online, hybrid) and engage with global partners.

Required profile

• JD or terminal law degree from an ABA‑accredited U.S. law school, or admission to practice law in the United States.
• Strong academic record with evidence of scholarly publication.
• Commitment to teaching business law at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Research agenda focused on environmental law, sustainability, or ESG.
