Assistant Community Manager – Parkside Place

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of Parkside Place, a stabilized garden‑style apartment community in Cary, NC. This full‑time position handles daily accounting tasks, resident interactions, and on‑site supervision to ensure smooth community operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate property‑management software (Yardi/OneSite) to record transactions, generate reports, and maintain data integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and coordinate approvals.
• Assist with evictions, move‑out processing, and resident satisfaction initiatives.
• Supervise on‑site staff in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and daily operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in residence life or property management, including lease enforcement and collections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or Entrata.
• Competence in internet, word‑processing, spreadsheet, and database‑management programs.
• Valid driver’s license and any required state or local certifications.
