About the role
Berlitz is seeking a passionate part‑time American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor to teach private and group students in Cupertino and online. You will join a global language‑training leader and help learners communicate confidently through high‑quality, student‑centered instruction.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver ASL lessons following Berlitz teaching principles, focusing on students' goals and interests.
- Conduct level assessments and needs analyses as assigned.
- Teach both onsite at the Learning Center and virtually, adapting to different class formats.
- Maintain accurate pedagogical and attendance records for each student.
- Integrate learning technology and digital resources into lessons.
- Participate in regular coaching sessions with the Academic Specialist.
- Complete required training and professional‑development modules on the @Berlitz Learning platform.
Required profile
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for language instruction and the ASL community.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse learners.
- Commitment to student‑centered, goal‑oriented teaching.
- Flexibility to work both onsite and remotely.
