Applied AI Architect – Startup Partnerships

About the role

As an Applied AI Architect on the Startups team at Anthropic, you will act as a trusted technical partner for early‑stage companies, guiding them to build and scale solutions on the Claude Developer Platform. You will combine deep AI expertise with a builder‑first mindset to help startups design, evaluate, and deploy LLM‑powered products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Executives to translate startup requirements into technical solutions and serve as a technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption lifecycle.
• Lead technical evaluations that demonstrate Claude’s suitability for specific use cases and help startups develop performance measurement frameworks.
• Build credibility with founders and engineering teams by speaking their language, understanding their build patterns, and shaping architecture decisions.
• Collect insights on how startups use Claude, identify emerging use cases, and feed feedback to Anthropic’s Product and Engineering teams.
• Represent Anthropic at customer sites, startup events, and industry conferences to conduct workshops and technical deep‑dives.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a technical customer‑facing role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward‑Deployed Engineer, or technical founder.
• Experience working with startups or high‑growth technology companies and understanding their rapid development cycles.
• Strong software engineering background or experience as a technical founder, enabling you to earn the trust of engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of AI product development, LLM engineering best practices, and the ability to articulate why Claude is the optimal foundation.
