About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join its Perioperative Services team. This full‑time, on‑site position supports anesthesia providers in the operating suite, ensuring equipment readiness and patient safety throughout surgical cases.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices before and during procedures.
• Assist anesthesia providers with set‑up, medication handling, and documentation.
• Coordinate with perioperative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and compliance with infection control standards.
• Perform routine equipment checks, calibrations, and inventory management.
• Respond promptly to equipment alarms and assist in emergency situations as needed.

Required profile

• Current University of Arkansas System employee status (including student or graduate assistant).
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
• Commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and adherence to hospital policies.
