About the role

Redfin is expanding its mobile experience and is looking for an Android Mobile Software Developer II to help build engaging, high‑performance features for home‑buyers on the go. The role can be based in Seattle, San Francisco, Detroit, or work remotely for qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement complex Android projects that improve the home‑search experience.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate user needs into reliable code.
• Maintain and improve app stability, performance, and testability.
• Drive Android best practices, incorporate industry trends, and mentor peers.
• Utilize approved AI code‑generation tools to assist with documentation and coding.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years of native Android development.
• Strong focus on user experience and performance optimization.
• Effective communicator who can work across distributed teams.
• Passion for clean, well‑architected code and continuous learning.
