AI/ML Engineer

About the role

Join an early‑stage, venture‑backed AI startup that is redefining computer‑aided engineering for the AI era. As an AI/ML Engineer you will create models that accelerate simulation, improve accuracy and enable new ways of exploring design spaces, working side‑by‑side with applied‑AI and mechanical‑engineering experts.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design and develop AI/ML algorithms for simulation, design automation and CAE challenges.
• Build scalable AI solutions and integrate them into existing CAE workflows and infrastructure.
• Lead performance improvements, optimise model accuracy and address system‑level bottlenecks.
• Guide projects from research through production deployment and contribute to MLOps practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience delivering AI/ML models in applied engineering or scientific domains.
• 2+ years of technical leadership guiding AI/ML projects from research to production.
• Strong understanding of engineering simulation, modelling and optimisation principles.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX.
• Experience with AI/ML algorithms for sequential, spatial or physics‑informed data.
• Hands‑on knowledge of MLOps and end‑to‑end AI/ML system deployment.
• Familiarity with simulation, modelling and optimisation concepts.
