AI Infrastructure Operations – Demand Planning

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an AI Infrastructure Operations professional to join the Demand Planning team. You will work at the intersection of capacity engineering and supply negotiation, ensuring that the company’s fast‑growing compute fleet is provisioned, tracked, and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the Demand Planning forecast into concrete per‑tranche requirements (accelerator type, interconnect, region, supporting resources, and delivery dates).
• Validate tranche deliverability before contract signature, confirming that shape, health, and instrumentation can be achieved in the target region.
• Close the delivery loop by tracking forecast versus actual delivery, publishing variance, and feeding insights back into future forecasts.
• Define and maintain the canonical contract‑to‑occupied state machine as a first‑class object in the capacity data layer.
• Manage a portfolio of concurrent bring‑ups, including new cloud regions and on‑prem sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience in capacity planning for large‑scale compute infrastructure.
• Background working with cloud, on‑prem, and accelerator hardware resources.
• Experience negotiating supply contracts and collaborating with data‑center build teams.
• Strong analytical abilities to translate forecasts into actionable engineering requirements.
