About the role

Ochsner Health System and LSU Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport are seeking an advanced endoscopic gastroenterologist for a full‑time academic position. The role combines patient care, endoscopic procedures, and weekly teaching responsibilities within a vibrant academic environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide weekly teaching in GI outpatient clinics and supervise residents and fellows.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures, including ERCP and EUS, in the onsite endoscopy center.
  • Deliver inpatient gastroenterology consult services.

Required profile

  • MD/DO (or foreign equivalent) with board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
  • Eligibility for active Louisiana medical licensure.
  • Broad knowledge of gastroenterological diseases and a commitment to scholarly activity.
