Advanced Business Application Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Business Application Developer to join our team on a 7‑month contract. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting SAP solutions for a manufacturing client, ensuring seamless integration with business processes and third‑party systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with management, business process teams and end users to gather and analyse system requirements.
• Design and develop SAP RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) using ABAP and related tools.
• Coordinate transports with the SAP Basis team and manage the technical landscape.
• Support implementation activities, including cut‑over planning, go‑live support and post‑go‑live maintenance.
• Advise on SAP enhancements, bug fixes, OSS notes, support packages and system upgrades.
• Design architectural plans for third‑party integration using APIs, IDocs and other protocols.

Required profile

• 10+ years of ABAP development experience with a strong functional background in Production Planning.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably discrete manufacturing.
• Proven ability to work in Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to provide scalable, object‑oriented solutions.

Required skills

• ABAP, SAP RICEF, SAP NetWeaver, SAP S/4 HANA.
• Production Planning & Supply Chain modules.
• Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAP IDoc, API integration.
• Experience with SAP APO, SAP Workflow, SAP BTP, SAP GTS/FTZ, SAP Commerce Cloud.
• Object‑oriented programming and Agile development practices.
