Admissions Specialist IV

About the role

The Admissions Specialist IV provides advanced customer service and operational support to prospective and current students, faculty, staff and external partners at Texas A&M University‑San Antonio. Working under general supervision, the role serves as a subject‑matter expert on admissions, transfer articulations and university policies, ensuring smooth admission and registration processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced customer service via phone, email and in‑person interactions, answering inquiries about admissions, registration, residency, transcripts and academic programs.
• Resolve complex student issues and guide applicants through the online admission and registration procedures.
• Conduct presentations and informational sessions on admissions requirements and university programs.
• Assist in managing and scheduling student workers.
• Lead special projects and support team initiatives to improve admission processing efficiency.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in admissions, enrollment management or related customer‑service roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to multitask.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing applications.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications.
• Experience using database applications.
