About the role
Lanier Technical College is seeking part‑time, non‑benefits‑eligible adjunct faculty to teach Speech and Communications courses across its campuses. The position is FLSA‑exempt, temporary and appointed per academic term.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver professional instruction following the approved syllabus and ensure course outcomes are met.
- Prepare curriculum, develop lesson outlines, and create instructional materials.
- Evaluate student progress, administer and grade examinations, and maintain accurate grade records.
- Participate in in‑service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
- Adhere to safety, security, and all deadlines set by the Associate Dean of General Education.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Communication or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Communication.
- Relevant graduate coursework from a regionally accredited institution.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse adult learners in classroom settings.
Required skills
- Proficiency in using computers and job‑related software programs.
- Knowledge of student information systems.
