About the role
Under general supervision, the Adjunct Computer Information Systems Instructor provides associate‑level CIST instruction to students at Central Georgia Technical College. The role includes preparing syllabi, lesson plans, and developing program goals while delivering classroom, evening, or online courses.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver CIST curriculum using appropriate teaching techniques and assess student performance.
- Prepare and maintain syllabi, lesson plans, grade books, and other required records.
- Participate in professional development, meet with students and college staff, and evaluate student progress.
- Complete reports, invoices, and maintain inventory of assigned property.
- Potentially serve as lead instructor to mentor other adjunct faculty.
- Travel within the college’s service area as needed.
Required profile
- Earned master’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field from an accredited institution, or a bachelor’s degree with documented competence and experience.
- All required transcripts and documentation must be uploaded through the CGTC applicant portal.
- Preference given to candidates with industry certifications or work experience in website design, networking, cybersecurity, data analytics, AI, or programming, and prior post‑secondary teaching experience.
