Account Manager – Commercial Lines (Remote, Eastern/Central TZ)

About the role

The Account Manager – Commercial Lines will oversee a portfolio of insurance accounts, ensuring retention and supporting new business growth. This fully remote position serves teams in the Eastern or Central time zones and collaborates closely with shared services and producers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in commercial lines insurance.
• Lead daily activities of the account management team and coordinate administrative tasks.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations, renewals, and the renewal submission process, including client research and proposal presentation.
• Monitor accounts receivable, address delinquent balances, and ensure timely collections.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Track activity and suspense items to guarantee timely completion.
• Communicate workload status and issues transparently with the account team.
• Deliver proactive, high‑quality service and stay current on company policies.
• Identify and adopt best practices for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of account management experience in insurance brokerage.
• Active Property & Casualty license; professional designation such as CIC preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education not required.
