Accessories Designer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Soft Goods Accessories Designer to join a century‑old accessories company’s creative team. You will work on trend‑forward products for women, teens, tweens and young adults, collaborating closely with design, development and production partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative accessory concepts and translate them into detailed CADs, tech packs, line sheets, color stories, patterns and colorways.
• Create designs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and produce technical drawings, specifications and prototypes.
• Communicate design intent with overseas development offices and production teams.
• Research market trends, contribute new product ideas and conduct quality‑control checks on samples and finished goods.
• Provide photo‑retouching support as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field.
• Relevant experience designing soft‑goods or accessories for women’s, teen and tween markets.
• Portfolio that showcases soft‑goods design work, especially accessories for girls, teens and tweens.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong CAD illustration and vector‑tracing abilities.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Mac operating systems.
• Understanding of materials, textiles and manufacturing processes.
• AI skills (a plus).
