Access Coordinator II – Patient Services

About the role

Access Coordinator II works under supervision to provide comprehensive support for patient care activities across multiple clinics, including cardiovascular, internal medicine, and primary care. The final clinic assignment will be determined by the department manager based on operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Meet, greet, and assist the public, answering telephone calls in a professional manner.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, consults, tests, and procedures using the hospital scheduling system.
• Check‑in and register patients, then check‑out, collect payments, issue receipts, and verify insurance coverage.
• Assist with hospital admissions and surgery scheduling.
• Perform all duties of an Access Coordinator I and provide additional support as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of customer service or healthcare experience.
• Basic computer proficiency, preferably with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and general knowledge of office equipment such as printers and scanners.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
